A complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos and heartworm preventatives is maintained in our in-house pharmacy at Animal Hospital of the Sierra so that our doctors can prescribe a variety of medications for their patients. Medications range from those used to treat sick or injured pets, to those used to prevent diseases such as heartworm and intestinal parasites. When refilling a prescription, our doctors and staff carefully review your file to make sure your pet is up to date on exams as well as any bloodwork needed. We stay up to date on our files so our doctors can keep an eye on their patients and adjust dosages of medications when necessary as well as diagnose any early diseases.
We also have our own online pharmacy that stocks an even more comprehensive selection of medications and pet care products.
When you need refills of your pet’s medications, please give our office 24 hours notice.

Many drug companies do not guarantee their product unless purchased through a Veterinarian. Some online pharmacies stock medications sourced from outside the United States; these products may not have the same quality and assurance as medications that are purchased from your local Veterinarian.
Some medications purchased online are imitations and contain the incorrect amount of the medication.
