Digital Radiography
Animal Hospital of the Sierra features both whole-body and dental Digital Radiography (x-ray). Digital Radiography has many advantages over film imaging, including the capability to produce images in seconds. Besides being efficient, Digital Radiography allows our doctors to zoom in and out of images and change the contrast to lighten or darken the field. This increases our viewing capability and allows us to focus on the precise aspects of an image.
The faster processing of digital radiography reduces stress on our patients and saves time for our clients. Digital images are also easily shared with board-certified radiologists for review or with specialists when consultations are required. Images are securely stored for retrieval at any time.
